Tee'd Off with Cancer?
On 22nd April we will be hosting our first Annual Golf Day on behalf of Cancer Research UK, raising funds and awareness for life saving research that is finding cures and kinder treatments for those with cancer.
1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. The lifesaving research will help us all to survive cancer for longer.
You can play your part by taking part in this Golf Day – let us tell you more:
Where is the Golf day being held?
We have selected the fabulous Boringdon Park Golf Course. It is warm and welcoming of all standards of player, it has a good variety of features around the course to make the golf fun but challenging. Boringdon Park is also renown for it’s excellent hospitality offering too, so we know you’ll all be looked after incredibly well.
Teams and gameplay
We will be playing four-ball team Stableford event, with the best two scores to count for the team. Handicaps should be submitted on the form below. If a player doesn’t have a handicap then (Ladies 36 and Gentlemen 28 handicaps).
There will be a maximum of 30 teams, and there will be two tee start. Ladies will play off red tees and gentlemen off yellow tees. Teams may be mixed. Best two scores from four on each hole.
Registration is open at 10 and must be completed by 11 – first tees are at 11.30am

Fundraising Opportunities
As you know we’re here to raise funds, and so there will be the usual Raffle, Silent Auction, Live Auction, plus on Course competitions that you can play in using our Cure Tokens – such as Beat the Pro, £10,000 Hole In One Challenge, Win Golfing Goodies challenges on various holes too – £20 gets you 5 Cure Tokens you can use them on the activities or exchange for additional on course refreshments.
Raising Awareness
4 in 10 cancers could be prevented, so there will be a number of science games and activities for you to take part in. We’ll also have information of some recent advances in the field of cancer research, and hope by attending the day, you will not only have had a great game of golf, but you will have a greater understanding of the work of Cancer Research UK.
